RED HAT CERTIFIED SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (RHCSA)
An RHCSA is capable of performing the following tasks:
- Basic tools for dealing with files, directories,
- Understand and use command line environments and documentation
- Operate running systems, including booting into different execution levels, identifying processes, starting and stopping virtual machines, and controlling services.
- Configure local storage using partitions and logical volumes
- Create and configure file systems and file system attributes such as permissions, encryption, access control lists, and network file systems.
- Deploy, configure and maintain systems, including software installation, update and core services.
- Manage users and groups, including the use of a central directory for authentication
- Manage security, including basic firewall and SELinux configuration.
RED HAT CERTIFIED ENGINEER (RHCE)
An RHCE is able to undertake RHCSA tasks as well as the following tasks:
- Configuring static routes, packet filtering and network address translation
- Setting kernel runtime parameters
- Configuring an iSCSI (Internet Small Computer System Interface) initiator
- Create and provide reports on system utilisation
- Use of shell scripts to automate system maintenance tasks
- Use of shell scripts to automate system maintenance tasks
- Configure a system to provide network services, including HTTP/HTTPS, File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Network File System (NFS), Server Message Block (SMB), Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP), Secure Shell (SSH) and Network Time Protocol (NTP).
RED HAT CERTIFIED SPECIALIST IN JBOSS ADMINISTRATION
An RHCJA is capable of performing the following tasks:
- Install and run an instance of the Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform.
- Configuration of multiple instances
- Configuring JBoss Web Connectors
- Application deployment
- Configuration of web properties for deployed applications
- Logging configuration
- Access control configuration
- Configuring the properties of a Java™ Virtual Machine (JVM)
- Delete unnecessary services
- Configuration of XA and non-XA data sources
- Configuration of a security domain of a database management system (DBMS)
- Configuration of a cluster with Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)
- Creation of a clustered Java Message Service (JMS) queue
- Load balancing and failover configuration

- Set-up and commissioning of a hybrid virtual multi-cloud infrastructure
